NTR webinar: Open Images dataset

NTR organizes and hosts scientific webinars on neural networks and invites speakers from all over the world to present their recent work at the webinars.

On January 26 Alina Kuznetsova, Senior Software Engineer, Google, Zürich, Switzerland, held a technical Zoom webinar on Open Images dataset: the one dataset for many computer vision tasks.

About the webinar:

Open Images is a very large-scale dataset that provides unified annotations for many computer vision tasks.

  • The webinar covered the classical tasks of computer vision: image classification, object detection, instance segmentation and visual relationship detection.
  • The scale of the dataset brings advantages as well as challenges.
  • The V6 version of the dataset added a new type of annotation – multimodal annotations consisting of synchronized voice, text caption, and mouse traces over the objects being described.
  • The new types of annotations should support research and innovation in various computer vision and multimodal tasks.
